Built in 1872 the Cambria County Jail was utilized as a prison until 1997. During January 1999 it became the Cambria County records depository. Later in 2002 the Cambria County Historical Society opened part of the prison was as a history museum. There were several television shows filmed at the prison related to Paranormal activity during the recent years. The building has recently been sold, for $1.00, to a developer with plans to turn the building into a "community hub".
