Le quai Saint-Jacques, à Redon, doit son nom à une chapelle dont on a perdu trace, où les pèlerins de Compostelle se recueillaient avant de franchir le fleuve ou d’embarquer. Une stèle, œuvre du sculpteur Dominique Bodet, dressée en juillet 2003, rappelle que Redon est une importante étape jacquaire, à la confluence de trois chemins de Compostelle : la Voie de La Pointe St Mathieu , Voie de Locquirec (Pays de Morlaix) , et la Voie de l’abbaye de Beauport.
The Quai Saint-Jacques, in Redon, owes its name to a chapel of which we have lost track, where the pilgrims of Compostela gathered before crossing the river or embarking. A stele, work of the sculptor Dominique Bodet, erected in July 2003, recalls that Redon is an important jacquaire stage, at the confluence of three paths of Compostela: the Way of La Pointe St Mathieu, way of Locquirec (Pays de Morlaix), and the Way of the abbey of Beauport.
