Background Story:
Every summer a new collection of sculptures is temporarily exhibited around the city. Some pieces from each exhibit become permanent fixtures. This horse and one other from the collection is standing in the parking lot of the Grand Central Fashion Shopping Plaza on High Ridge Road. It is standing on its back legs. It is painted black with flowers on it and decorated with the words Welcome to Stamford. The artist’s name is Francine Funke. It was sponsored by Stamford Hospital.
