gl: "O edificio, de 1901, foi concibido como un palacete urbano para Estanislao Durán, seguindo esquemas eclécticos de filiación francesa, que se remarcan coa inclusión dunha ostentosa mansarda perforada por bufardas. Como noutros casos é mostra na cidade de Vigo do peso que a burguesía local lle concedía á arquitectura como signo de distinción social. O edificio é obra do arquitecto Manuel Felipe Quintana
O carácter enfático desta arquitectura ponse de manifesto no suntuoso chafrán que remata en elegante cúpula e actúa como enlace de dúas fachadas de disposición similar. A ornamentación, cambiante en cada planta, está sumamente coidada, destacando tamén o excelente traballo de cantería granítica.
En 1924 engadiuse o corpo de planta baixa do extremo da rúa Velázquez Moreno."
en: "The building, from 1901, was conceived as an urban mansion for Estanislao Durán, following eclectic schemes of French affiliation, which stand out with the inclusion of an ostentatious attic perforated by attics. As in other cases, it shows in the city of Vigo the weight that the local bourgeoisie gave to architecture as a sign of social distinction. The building is the work of the architect Manuel Felipe Quintana.
The emphatic character of this architecture is evident in the sumptuous chamfer that ends in an elegant dome and acts as a link between two facades of similar layout. The ornamentation, changing on each floor, is extremely careful, also highlighting the excellent work of granite masonry. In 1924, the ground floor body at the end of Velázquez Moreno Street was added."
