NL Op de kruising van de Voorteindseweg en de Putstraat te Middelbeers is een abstract kunstwerk. Het is volgens de plaquette op het beeld gemaakt in 1969 door de lokale kunstenaar Jo Gijsen. De steen is afkomstig van de vroegere brug over de Grote Beerze langs de Voorteindseweg. Deze brug werd op 30 oktober 1944 door de terugtrekkende Duitse troepen tot ontploffing gebracht. De steen belangrijk op een boerenerf en daar werd hij jaren later door de kunstenaar gevonden.

In de steen is vaag een golvenpatroon aangebracht. Het beeld rust op een bakstenen sokkel. Aan de achterkant is nog een aanhechting van een leuning van de oude brug zichtbaar.
ENG At the intersection of the Voorteindseweg and the Putstraat in Middelbeers is an abstract work of art. According to the plaque on the statue, it was made in 1969 by the local artist Jo Gijsen. The stone comes from the former bridge over the Grote Beerze along the Voorteindseweg. This bridge was detonated on October 30, 1944 by the retreating German troops. The stone was important in a farmyard and there it was found years later by the artist.

The stone has a vague wave pattern. The statue rests on a brick plinth. At the back, an attachment of a railing of the old bridge is still visible.
