The mural features a two scoop cone of strawberry and chocolate ice cream with the following text:

The mural is meant to look distressed as if it had been painted many years ago but the new owners recently opened their ice cream and coffee shop in February 2021. The store (and mural inspiration) are a tribute to Doc, Dr. Joseph J. Richert (1933-2021), who cared for the community from his medical practice just down the street. Doc ceremoniously served the first scoop at the opening. The sign was painted by Mark Serra, his company is Last Word Signs located in Ferndale, Michigan. Mark Serra Instagram for the artist
