Station Woerden is een spoorwegstation in Woerden gelegen aan de trajecten Utrecht – Rotterdam/Den Haag (km 16)
Geschiedenis
Het station werd geopend op 21 mei 1855 tegelijk met de spoorlijn Utrecht – Gouda (– Rotterdam Maas) van de Nederlandsche Rhijnspoorweg-Maatschappij (NRS). Het eerste, houten stationsgebouw van Woerden was tijdens de aanleg van de spoorlijn al als directiekeet in gebruik geweest. Nagenoeg gelijke gebouwen stonden in Oudewater, Nieuwerkerk en Capelle aan den IJssel.
In 1911 kwam er een nieuw, in jugendstil uitgevoerd, gebouw.
In 1993-1996 is het station gemoderniseerd, waarbij het bestaande gebouw weliswaar is gehandhaafd, maar toch enkele grote ingrepen werden gedaan. De oude, houten, voetgangersbrug over de sporen is vervangen door een modernere versie, de oude houten overkapping over de sporen is vervangen, een zuidzijde-ingang bij het station is er bijgebouwd en tot slot is er een moderne aanbouw bij de ingang gekomen die een grotere toestroom van reizigers aankan. Het oude loket werd verbouwd tot een van de eerste Wizzl-winkels in Nederland. Ook werd in deze periode de overweg vervangen door een tunnel onder het spoor door.
In 2005 werd het oude middenperron, spoor 3 verwijderd. Het perron was daarvoor al een ruimte tijd afgesloten geweest.
In de richting Leiden werd even buiten Woerden een keerspoor aangelegd.

Woerden Station is a railway station in Woerden located on the routes Utrecht – Rotterdam/The Hague (km 16).
History
The station was opened on 21 May 1855 at the same time as the Utrecht – Gouda (– Rotterdam Maas) railway line of the Nederlandsche Rhijnspoorweg-Maatschappij (NRS). Woerden's first wooden station building had already been used as an executive shed during the construction of the railway. Almost identical buildings were located in Oudewater, Nieuwerkerk and Capelle aan den IJssel.
In 1911 a new Art Nouveau building was built.
The station was modernized in 1993-1996, whereby the existing building was maintained, but some major interventions were nevertheless made. The old wooden pedestrian bridge over the tracks has been replaced by a more modern version, the old wooden roof over the tracks has been replaced, a south side entrance to the station has been added and finally a modern extension has been added to the entrance that provides a can handle a larger influx of travelers. The old counter was converted into one of the first Wizzl stores in the Netherlands. The level crossing was also replaced by a tunnel under the railway during this period.
In 2005 the old central platform, track 3, was removed. The platform had been closed for some time before that.
In the direction of Leiden, a reversing track was laid just outside Woerden.
