The cannon was originally used as equipment on naval vessels or fortifications along the coast
Ehrendal is a former ironworks in Gnesta municipality.
In 1690, Jesper Eliasson built a large mill with cannon foundry at Sågartorp.
These cannons became well known and were used, among other things, by the Swedish Armed Forces.
Kristianopel is a fortress town in Blekinge, where there have been several wars over time.
The town was founded in 1599 by Christian IV as a Danish fortification.
During the Kalmar War (1611-1613), the then 16-year-old Swedish Crown Prince Gustaf Adolf took over Kristianopel and burned the city down.
In 1676, Kristianopel was again briefly Danish.
