While taking a walk on the Engelermeer site, I noticed (on the sign) that they also do dives in the Engelermeer / Engelerlake.

The local dive group Amicus Aquae is on of the groups who regurarly uses the Engelermeer for dives. Some information (in Dutch) about the first dive in 2021 at the Engelermeer can be found here: (

"The Engelermeer has a hard loam bottom with a layer of sediment on top.
At the first 10 meters of the shore, the water is 2 to 8 meters deep with quite a bit of vegetation between which you can discover a lot of life.
It is not a rarity to see pike, zander, perch, roach, carp and eel etc.
After that, the sandy bottom slowly descends to a depth of about 25 meters, usually very dark and there is little to see."
