Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh, North Carolina features a water garden area with flora and fauna informative signs. The main sign is located on an overlook deck. The sign reads:

Fred Fletcher Park lies within the Pigeon
House Branch watershed, on of Raleigh's most
polluted streams. This water garden improves
water quality in Pigeon House Branch.

During rain storms, stormwater runoff naturally
flows into the largest deep pool before winding
its way through the water garden.

Vegetation throughout the wetland area helps
filter the water before it leaves the water garden
through a pipe underneath Glenwood Avenue
and makes its way to Pigeon House Branch a
few hundred feet downstream.
