Suite à des fouilles archéologiques, la fondations du Blockhaus Avancé, et des boutons d’uniformes militaires furent découverts. Following archaeological digs, the foundation of the Advance Blockhaus and military uniform buttons were found.

Le Blockhaus Avancé de la Citadelle Temporaire:
Assez modeste sous le régime français, l’occupation des hauteurs d’Abraham fut plus importante sous le régime britannique: blockhaus de Murray, citadelle temporaire, tours Martello, citadelle permanente. Des fouilles ont été entreprises à l’été 2006 et se sont poursuivies en 2007 dans le but de mettre à jour les vestiges de l’un des sept blockhaus (celui situé sur les hauteurs du cap Diamant). On peut également observer encore aujourd’hui sur les Plaines le tracé du rempart de la citadelle temporaire.

The Advanced Blockhaus of the Temporary Citadel:
From its modest beginnings under the French regime, the Heights of Abraham underwent considerable development under the British, who constructed the Murray Blockhouse, the temporary citadel, the Martello towers and the permanent citadel. Excavations were started in the summer of 2006 and have continued in 2007 for the purpose of restoring the remains of one of the seven blockhouses, situated on the Cap Diamant heights. The outline of the rampart for the temporary citadel is still visible on the Plains.
