This is an old barn built in the 1930s that was restored by the "barn friends" in 2011. Agriculture in the extreme southern part of Illinois was very difficult because the soil is rocky and very sandy. Old barns in southern Illinois are much rarer than in other parts of the state.
Construction: Wood
Is this a 'working' barn?: Stable (used to house farm animals)
Other: This barn is used as a horse stable for rides because it is on a horse trail.
