Campground at Lac Qui Parle State Park.
43 drive-in sites are available. Two of them are handicapped-accessible. Most of the sites have electric hookup, including both wheelchair-accessible sites. Nine of the electric sites also have water and sewer. Eight sites are pull-through.
There are also three cart-in sites, for tents only.
All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Drinking water is available at four locations in the campground. Wheelchair-accessible showers and modern toilets are available for campers. Four latrines are also available, even in winter when the campground is closed.
The campground is level and almost treeless. The drive-in sites seem to be designed for RVs, and feel crowded for car camping with a tent.
The park's three air-conditioned camper cabins are also in this campground.
Pets are allowed in the campground if attended at all times and on a leash 6 feet or shorter. Only service animals, not pets, are allowed in camper cabins.
Campers should check in at the park office.
The campground is open April 1-November 30.
The campsite rate is $23 per night. Add $10 per night for electric sites. Add an additional $8 per night for sites with water and sewer hookup. Camper cabins are $85 per night.
You will also need a state park vehicle permit. Good at any Minnesota state park, vehicle permits cost $7 per day or $35 for a year.
