The 18-hole "Twin Lakes" course at the Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club facility in Federal Way, Washington features 6,221 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.6 and it has a slope rating of 122. Designed by William G. Teufel, ASGCA, the Twin Lakes golf course opened in 1967.
A golfer described the course to me as short with narrow fairways and fast greens. The fairways and greens use Poa Annua grass. Water comes into play on hole #3, a 143-yard, par 3, and on #9, a 286-yard, par 4, which is adjacent to hole #3. There is also a little creek on #9 with water flowing through it. There is no water on the other holes.
You must play with a member and there is a dress code of no denim. Collared shirts and Bermuda shorts or slacks are required. Open year round but closed on Mondays. Fees are $60 on weekends and $50 on weekdays.
