Het monument bij de Dudoktribune te Hilversum is opgericht ter nagedachtenis aan alle Hilversumse jongens en mannen die op 23 oktober 1944 vanuit het Gemeentelijk Sportpark als dwangarbeider door de bezetter zijn weggevoerd. Slechts enkelen hebben de Tweede Wereldoorlog overleefd. Het monument is onthuld op 23 oktober 1997 door burgemeester J.G. Kraaijeveld-Wouters. Het is een natuurstenen kolom met decoraties. Aan de voorkant is een plaquette gezet.

De tekst op de gedenksteen luidt:

ZIJN HIER ENKELE DUIZENDEN
HILVERSUMSE MANNEN EN JONGENS
ALS DWANGARBEIDER WEGGEVOERD.
VELEN HEBBEN DE BEVRIJDING
VAN DE NAZI-TERREUR
NIET MEER MEEGEMAAKT.

The monument at the Dudoktribune in Hilversum was erected in memory of all Hilversum boys and men who were deported by the occupying forces from the Municipal Sports Park on 23 October 1944 as forced laborers. Only a few survived World War II. The monument was unveiled on October 23, 1997 by Mayor J.G. Kraaijeveld-Wouters. It is a natural stone column with decorations. A plaque has been placed on the front.

The text on the memorial stone reads:

'ON 23 OCTOBER 1944
ARE HERE SOME THOUSANDS
HILVERSUM MEN AND BOYS
TAKEN AWAY AS A FORCE WORKER.
MANY HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED
THE LIBERATION OF THE
NAZI-TERROR NO MORE.
ON OCTOBER 23, 1997

HAS MAYOR
J.G. CRAYEVELD-WOUTERS
ON BEHALF OF THE BURGERY,
IN REMINDER OF ALL
HILVERSUM FORCES WORKERS,
REVEALED THIS MEMORIAL.'
