The sculpture doubles as a fountain and is located in Isny im Allgäu not far from the city ??wall. It shows a cow that is being milked by an official. On hot days, the fountain serves as a wet playground for the children, but the sculpture also has political wit.
The official, seated on an office chair, lifts a bucket and water flows out of the holes in the bucket, representing the milk and representing the taxes. A bucket of the work of art has fallen over, from which a cat is helping itself. So the subtitle of the sculpture is "Everything for the cat".
The cow is the symbol for the taxpayers, that is us - who are milked by the personified tax waste. Constructed as a bench, the explanation of the work of art is found on the side – carved in stone.
The fountain was created by the artist Leo Wirth from Laudenbach and is a donation and loan from the Immler brothers.
Isny is actually in an area where the cows are used for dairy, not meat (local fact).
