This Eagle Scout Project is a memorial for Veterans of all wars located in the Kenly Cemetery in Kenly, North Carolina. The memorial is inviting and offers visitors to sit and reflect. The main rectangular granite monument is placed in front of a flag pool with the American flag. An American flag is etched on both sides of the front of the monument. The inscription on this monument reads:
KENLY AMERICAN LEGION
POST 328
DEDICATED TO VERTERANS
OF ALL WARS
In front of the large monument is a granite bench with an inscription on the top that reads:
MEMORIAL IN HONOR OF ALL
VETERANS WHO HAVE, DO,
AND WILL SERVE
EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT BY CJ LINTON
It is inscribed on the front of the seat with:
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
Along each side of the area in front of the larger monument are smaller rectangular granite stones sitting flat with the surface of the ground. Each is etched with the emblem of each division of the Armed Services: Coast Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, and POW-MIA
