"The name “Corsendonk” refers to the priory of Corsendonk, a former Augustinian monastery in Oud-Turnhout. The priory existed from 1398 to 1784. Since the 19th century, the Keersmaekers brewery has been making Patersbier. In 1982, at the request and with the support of the Oud-Turnhoutse VVV, the production of Corsendonk beer was started. Since then, the beers have also enjoyed great success internationally. Major contracts were recently concluded with the United States and China."
