Another American Bald Eagle has joined the flock of eagles on the campus of American University. This time it's a chainsaw, wood carving of an eagle, the mascot of American University, by artist Paul Waclo. The eagle is located in a planted area on the among the dormatories on south side of the newly opened East Campus.

The larger than life size eagle is perched on top of an 8' high tree stump. It has its wings folded while looking towards it's right shoulder. The south side of the stump has inscribed the universities AU monogram
