The Superintendent’s Cottage sits at the southern end of the Gardens. The building is accessed through a small grassed courtyard with a central path that is bounded on the north and west by a tall manicured hedge. In the centre of the path is a stone sundial that features carved representations of the first Superintendent, William Davidson, and his family, thought to be created by convict stonemason Daniel Herbert.

**Please note: due to Covid-19 safety measures currently in place, the courtyard cannot be accessed by the public at this time.
