Located on a quiet road in the hamlet of Mono Centre, Dufferin County.
The sign on the south gate reads "1836 Burns Church Cemetery 1951"
There is a small plaque at the edge of the cemetery which provides a short historical timeline, as follows:
1835 - Burns Cemetery developed on this land donated by Alex and Maggie Laidlaw
1848 - First Burns Church built at the South Gate in use until 1924
1867 - Manse built on the property south of the church used until 1910
1968 - Cemetery separated from jurisdiction of the church and incorporated under the original name of Burns Cemetery
