"St. Matthias Church was probably built around the year 1000 and was probably originally used as a castle chapel. The grave inscriptions of the Ulmen castle lords, the baptismal font from the 13th century as well as the tabernacle and a small side altar from the 17th century have been preserved to this day and bring the history of the former castle chapel back to life. During reconstructions in 1905 a document came to light, which refers to a consecration in 1486. From 1967-68, the church was expanded with a new sanctuary and two side aisles, which now combine modernity with history.
