This burial ground has long been ignored and abandoned. Originally in use around 1800, during the same time it was also the site of the city gallows. Development and other issues continued on the grounds of the burial ground in the ensuing years. While some of the cemetery is potentially under 95, the 3.4 acre you see before you is what has been saved. It is now part of the Richmond Slave Trail.
