"In January 1858, the Cologne-Remagen railroad service was started. The classicist station building was built in 1859/60 and an iron vestibule was added in 1885, which was removed from Bonn station and rebuilt in Remagen. The listed building was renovated by Deutsche Bahn for its 125th anniversary in 1985. The "Maisons Laffitte Square" in front of the station is named after Remagen's French twin town."
