A large, cast bronze plaque at the Richard Stockton Service Area on the New Jersey Turnpike (southbound) honors those killed in Hawaii and commemorates the name change of a section of a nearby highway. It is mounted to a free-standing, stone clad, upright support outside the north end of the rest stop's main building. The 2-foot by 3-foot marker reads:

THIS MEMORIAL IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF OUR
2,403 COMRADES IN ARMS WHO MADE THE SUPREME
SACRIFICE DURING THE JAPANESE ATTACK ON

From the AA Roads web site: "The Pearl Harbor Memorial Turnpike Extension carries I-95 eastward from the Delaware River Bridge to the New Jersey Turnpike at Mansfield. The route will officially become a part of Interstate 95 sometime in early 2018, but signs were posted along the turnpike mainline by 2000."
