"The monument to the missing of May 1940 on the Grebbeberg Military Field of Honor in Rhenen consists of a natural stone memorial plaque, supported on five unequal pieces of stone. The plaque bears an image of the Dutch lion and the names of 138 persons who fell in the May days of 1940: 102 soldiers of the Royal Netherlands Army and 36 soldiers of the Royal Navy.
The text on the plate reads:
"IN THE MEMORY OF THE FALLEN"
IN THE MAY DAYS OF 1940
WHICH NO TOMB LOCATION IS EVIDENT." "
