The Blessing Box:
The Blessing Box is of wood exterior construction with a metal roof; wood and glass doors, which were spring loaded to shut automatically; and plywood shelves. Contents at the time of my visit were various soups; beans; mac n cheese; some baby formula; and other miscellaneous food stuffs. It appears to have been used, and some attempt is being made to keep it organized.
We currently have a small food pantry in the community where anyone is welcome to give nonperishable items or to take these items as they have a need. Nonperishable items can be food, toiletries, small flashlights etc. Anything that you think someone would appreciate going through hard times. The location of the Blessing Box is in downtown Peculiar, MO across the street from the Police Station. Address will be added soon.
