"La leyenda del Puente del Beso cuenta la historia de un temido pirata -el pirata Cambaral- que asolaba nuestras costas y que fue apresado por los hombres del gobernador de la villa de Luarca. Mientras estaba retenido, el bravo pirata y la hija del gobernador se enamoraron perdidamente. Ambos amantes decidieron planear su fuga pero el padre de ella, enfurecido por su traición, los decapitó sin compasión mientras se besaban en el puente."

"The legend of the Bridge of the Kiss tells the story of a feared pirate -the Cambaral pirate- who ravaged our coasts and who was captured by the men of the governor of the town of Luarca. While he was being held, the brave pirate and the governor's daughter fell madly in love. Both lovers decided to plan her escape but her father, enraged by her betrayal, ruthlessly beheaded them as they kissed on the bridge."
