Original French:
"Ici, le 6 Novembre 1942 s'évadait le Général HENRI GIRAUD à bord du "MILAN II" bateau de pêche du Lavandourain Jules CREST, pour rejoindre l'Afrique du Nord libérée.
Au large un sous-marin britannique "LE SERAPH" l'embarquait ainsi que l'Aspirant BERNARD GIRAUD, son fils, le Capitaine BEAUFRE et l'Enseigne de Vaisseau VIRET"
EN translation:
"Here, on November 6, 1942, General HENRI GIRAUD escaped aboard the "MILAN II" fishing boat of the Lavandourain Jules CREST, to reach liberated North Africa.
Offshore a British submarine "LE SERAPH" took her along with Midshipman BERNARD GIRAUD, his son, Captain BEAUFRE and Ensign Vaisseau VIRET"
