This dove of peace is located on a granite grave marker in Historic Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh, North Carolina. The cemetery is open daily from 8AM - 5PM. The dove faces to the left with wings spread out and upward in flight with an olive branch. It is situated on the upper right corner of the marker for the Simmons family. The inscription on the marker reads:
