The initial design was a collaboration between the German firm Krupp and Swedish firm AB Bofors just after WW1. The Swedes continued development on their own. It was internationally recognized as a superior antiaircraft weapon and was used by many nations during the Second World War.
This display was donated by Clinton V.F.W. Post 2288 in July, 1984. It is located at the war memorial in Riverfront Park along the Mississippi River.
