De locomotief is een stoomlocomotief type Baureihe 52, gemaakt in 1944 door Wiener Lokomotivfabrik AG, Wien Floridsdorf. De locomotief was opreationeel in 1944 Bij de DRG als 52 3879, in 1945 Bij de ÖBB als ÖBB 52 3879, omstreeks 1980 bij Brenner & Brenner Dampflokomotiven Betriebsgesellschaft GmbH, in 1989 bij SSN Nederland en sinds 2003 Bij de VSM. In 2018 stond de loc in de werkplaats voor een ketelrevisie. Ik weet niet of de locomotief hierbij hersteld kon worden tot een werkende stoomlocomotief.

The locomotive is a steam locomotive type Baureihe 52, made in 1944 by Wiener Lokomotivfabrik AG, Wien Floridsdorf. The locomotive was operational in 1944 with the DRG as 52 3879, in 1945 with the ÖBB as ÖBB 52 3879, around 1980 with Brenner & Brenner Dampflokomotiven Betriebsgesellschaft GmbH, in 1989 with SSN Netherlands and since 2003 with the VSM. In 2018 the locomotive was in the workshop for a boiler overhaul. I do not know whether the locomotive could be restored to a working steam locomotive.
