"The Evelyn Theatre opened as a single screen in 1946. It is alive and well in Dumas, Texas, now with two screens.

"The theatre went digital on Friday, August 1, 2014, with brand new Dolby sound systems. In 2017 Evelyn Theatre was closed briefly for a major remodel and re-opened in December 2017 with updated seating, sound, and more… In 2020 the Evelyn theatre opened the venue to host live events, concerts, and private events."
