The brick and stone single storey Courthouse was constructed in 1880 and has a porch at the front, rendered quoins and surrounds. The hipped corrugated galvanised iron roof has paired moulded brackets under the eaves.
The building became customs house for Port Pirie in November 1963 and now houses various State Government offices.
