The Ten Commandments are etched into a stone marker located on the north side of the Hansford County Courthouse square.

The Ten Commandments (and other text) is etched into this stone marker. The top of the marker is two tablets with the ten commandments:

Thou shalt have no other gods before Me |
Thou shalt not kill |

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image | Thou shalt not commit adultery |
III. | VIII. |
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain | Thou shalt not steal |
IV. | IX. |
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy | Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour |
V. | X. |
Honour thy father and thy mother | Thou shalt not covet anything that is thy neighbour's |
The four sides of the marker also contain text, mostly quotes from historical figures and short mottos.
