"Tilburg Noord Taekwondo (T.N.T.) was founded by Adriaan van Esch and Henk Horsten on May 1, 1977. It started when Henk started teaching at the invitation of youth center VIKON in Tilburg Noord. Soon so many taekwondo enthusiasts signed up that Henk had to move to a municipal gym located on the Donizettistraat. The large number of students was also a reason for Henk to ask his regular training partner Adriaan van Esch if he also wanted to transfer his knowledge to TNT. Back then, Adriaan and Henk were both Dutch sparring and style champions.

Over the years, many successful trainers and athletes have been trained at TNT.

Some successes are:

A number of certified trainers and referees
many dozens of black belts
dozens of people became Dutch champions (often several times), both in style and in sparring, many of them have achieved successes abroad with the national team
several gold, silver and bronze medals have been won at European championships;
several medals were won at World Championships and World Cup competitions;
Two athletes have been delegated to the Olympics
