Loral Eugene Trotter - Tolar, NM - Out of Place Graves on Waymarking.com

Surrounded by a white pipe fence is the grave of Loral Eugene Trotter. He died in a blizzard in 1907. The Trotter family was headed west to establish a homestead. They travelled by train but the fire in the passenger car kept going out and 18 month old Loral caught a cold and died a few days later. The family expected a cemetery to be constructed on the site. Today, only the highway and the wind keep Loral company.
