Lezayre Parish War Memorial can be found at the junction of Lezayre Road (A3) and Churchtown Road (B17) in Lezayre. It is in memory of the men of the Parish who lost their lives in World War I & II.

Memorial lists 46 names for World War I and 11 names for World War II.

The memorial was designed by Ewart Crelin (1887-1950) and was made by Mr Edward Chistian J.P. C.T.C sculptor of Ramsey, from red sandstone in the form of a cross on an octangular pillar, mounted on octangular red sandstone bases. The sandstone was sourced from the Bankend Quarries in Cumbria.

Affixed to the bases are white marble plaques which record the names of the men lost and the dedications.

In a ledge in front of the pilar is a white marble figure of a British Soldier in the uniform of WWI.

The land on which the memorial stands was donated by the Farrant Ballakillingan Estate.

The memorial stands about 20ft high and has a diameter at its base of of approximately 9ft. It took 22 tons of red sandstone to make and 10 tons of concrete were used in the foundations. Ir is enclosed by a low rubble wall.

The memorial was unveiled by the Island’s then Lieutenant Governor, Sir William Fry, on Wednesday 23 May 1923 and the dedication was given by The Right Reverend Denton Thompson, The Lord Bishop of Sodor and Man.

The WWII unveiling ceremony, on Sunday 24 September 1951, was performed by His Excellency The Lieutenant Governor, Air Vice Marshall Sir Geoffrey Rhodes Bromet, with the dedication given by The Right Reverend John Taylor, the Lord Bishop of Sodor and Man with the Guard of Honour drawn from the Royal Air Force Regiment, Jurby.

The dedication on side 1 of the upper plinth is as follows:

"TO THE
GLORY OF GOD
AND IN
MEMORY OF THE
MEN OF THE
PARISH OF LEZAYRE
WHO FELL IN THE
GREAT WAR
1914 - 1918"

On sides 2 to 8 are listed the names of the 46 men who lost their lives in WWI

The dedication on side 1 of the lower plinth is as follows:

"IN GRATEFUL AND HONOURED MEMORY
OF THOSE OF THIS PARISH WHO GAVE
THEIR LIVES IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR
1939 - 1945
