Pavilhão do Conhecimento Ciência Viva
"It was part of the area covered by Expo 98 in 1998, currently called Parque das Nações. The design of its building was designed by architect Carrilho da Graça and engineer António Adão da Fonseca, and was awarded the Valmor and Municipal Architecture Prize in 1998, former architect with the Pavilhão de Portugal, in the same area.
During that event, the pavilion was called the "Pavilion of the Knowledge of the Seas", and its contents showed the relationship between Man and the Oceans over time. Among the attractions at the time were a display with miniature holograms, numerous models of boats and submarines, and a full-size model of a submarine designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
With the end of the event, the space was remodeled as a Pavilion of Knowledge and opened to the public in July 1999, becoming the largest interactive Science and Technology center in the Ciência Viva network of centers in the country. It receives an average of more than 850 visitors per day."
