Located on the west side of Highway 64, across from the Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum, this marker details the history of the Pawnee Agency. It is an upright granite marker.

Pawnee Agency
Established in 1874. Pawnees sold their Nebraska lands and bought reservation here, selected by their Chiefs and WM. Burgess, US Agent. Pawnee Boarding School was opened near Agency in 1877. Reservation opened to white settlement Sept. 16, 1893. Agency consolidated 1928, for 5 Tribes: Pawnee, Oto, Ponca, Tonkawa and Kaw.
