This impressive monument in the Fairfax Cemetery honors Chief Ne-Kah-Wah-She-Tun-Kah, who was the governor of the Osages. His wife Wah-Ghre-Lum-Pah has a monument next to his, with a cross on top.

The entire monument for the Chief stands about 15' tall, with the statue in his likeness almost half of that height. It appears to be made of stone, and shows him bare top, with a blanket wrapped around his middle and lower torso and loose pants on his legs. He holds an axe in his left hand, and the axe is crossed against his chest. A small medallion hangs from his neck.

His grave is in the northeast quadrant of Fairfax Cemetery and is easily seen from any of the cemetery grounds since it is so tall. The burial crypts for the Chief and his wife are at the back of the monument.
