This church was founded as a Methodist Episcopal Society in 1869. The church building was dedicated in 1871 and built at a cost of $3,200. The land was deeded to the church by the Blair and Iron Coal Company February 24, 1872. The church was closed in the early 1900's.

Although over grown one can still see the stone foundation. The church ruins sit just east of the Bennington Cemetery.
