Pvt John Lydick is laid to rest with his wife here. There are several graves of Revolutionary War Veterans in this Cemetery/ County Park laid side by side.

"Revolutionary Soldger.John Lyduick pioneer the Lydick Fort or block house was located on land later owned by (Hazekiah Brekeypile see Chery Hill Cemetery.)This fort was on the old Climer Road known as Spring Fort Farm(becouse of the spring that ran through the old fort)Three times John fled from the Indians finally building a fort."
