Located in downtown Clewiston is the Civic Park. A portion of this park is dedicated to veterans from the area that served in the United States armed forces and also service personnel who served in the Clewiston area during World War II at nearby Riddle Field.
This plaque reads as follows:
"Riddle Field, Clewiston
Between September 1941 and
September 1945, 1325 British Cadets
and 100 American Cadets were
trained and graduated as pilots.
The 23 British Cadets who were
killed during training lie in the
British Plot in Arcadia Cemetery.
And are remembered each year by
the people of that city".
An adjacent bronze marker honors the No. 5 British Flying Training School.
