The City of Lindsay website features the church on the their visitors page, and provides a description:

Like our Catholic Faith, our church is a beautiful treasure which has been passed down for generations. The first St. Peter's Catholic Church was built in 1892 with the first Mass being said on Easter Sunday of that year. The current larger church was completed in 1903, but was destroyed by a cyclone in 1917. The parishioners re-built the church which you see today. It is one of sixteen painted churches in Texas. The church has been restored twice over the years and is in pristine condition. The Church is open during daylight hours. We are pleased to share both with you, our visitor.

To see the church and take a picture out the window to log a "Visited" comment will require less than fifteen minutes. However, there are a lot of things to see here. The church is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, as noted by a Texas Historical Marker near the entrance. The cemetery behind the church dates to 1892, and many of the community's early settlers, including town founder, Anton Flusche, are buried there. There are four beautiful chapels on the property -- two inside the cemetery -- all of them over a hundred years old, and nod to the grotto of Lourdes is directly behind the church. There are some other things, maybe only of interest to Waymarkers who are collecting numbers, maybe not.
