The small village of Daviot lies in a rural area of Aberdeenshire in north-east Scotland, four miles north of the town of Inverurie and fifteen miles north-west of the city of Aberdeen. The parish church lies in the centre of the village on the main street, and is of the Church of Scotland denomination.
The church was built in 1798 within a small graveyard on the site of a previous church and dedicated to St Colm. The small rectangular building is of coursed granite rubble with roughly tooled corner stones and a slated roof. The southern elevation features three large round-arched windows, and the western gable facing the street originally had an entrance door, now blocked. Above this is a small round window with stained glass. On the apex sits a birdcage-style bellcote and a large ball finial. The bell dates to 1752 and is thought to have come from the previous church. The north elevation is blank, and the eastern end has a gabled attachment which was originally the vestry. A door lies in the south face with a rectangular sash & case window. To the north is a flat roofed extension. On the eastern gable is a round-arched window with a small ball finial on the apex.
The church has a service at 10.00am on Sundays.
