The Indiana Medical History Museum housed within the "Old Pathology Building" was one of original buildings on the campus of the Indiana Central State Hospital (defunct). It houses laboratory rooms and original equipment. It is a snapshot of 1800s medical practices. The building has changed very little since it was used for its original purposes, including the surgical amphitheater (where dissections were performed in front of university students). While this is not the only building left from its time as part of the Indiana Central State Hospital, it remains open to visitors today as a museum for medical history.
