[FR] Le Portail de l'hôtel des Trésoriers de Saint-Martin fut édifié au XVème siècle. Il est le dernier vestige d'un vaste ensemble de bâtiments disparus : l'hôtel des Trésoriers de Saint-Martin. Ce bâtiment fut le symbole de l'autorité temporelle des chanoines, dont le trésorier possédait autrefois le droit de haute justice.
Cette façade est formée de blocs de pierre de tuffeau blanc de Touraine. Elle présente un abondant décor sculpté caractéristique du style gothique flamboyant : arcs en accolade, pinacles, choux frisés, feuilles grasses, etc. Au premier étage, deux fenêtres sous arc brisé encadrent une niche qui recevait autrefois une représentation de la Charité d'Amiens.
C'est devant ce portail que Martin, alors légionnaire durant cet hiver 338, offrit la moitié de son vêtement à un pauvre.

[EN] The Portal of the Hôtel des Trésoriers de Saint-Martin was built in the 15th century. It is the last vestige of a vast collection of buildings that have disappeared: the Hôtel des Trésoriers de Saint-Martin. This building was the symbol of the temporal authority of the canons, whose treasurer once possessed the right of high justice.
This facade is formed from blocks of white tufa stone from Touraine. It presents an abundant sculpted decoration characteristic of the Flamboyant Gothic style: curly arches, pinnacles, kale, fat leaves, etc. On the first floor, two windows under pointed arches frame a niche which once housed a representation of the Charity of Amiens.
It was in front of this portal that Martin, then a legionary during this winter of 338, offered half of his clothing to a poor man.
