Als je het terrein van industrie park op komt staat er prominent op het plein voor de fabriek een groot beeld van een ijzergieter.
Het beeld is in 1954 gemaakt door de beeldhouwer Chris Elffers.
Het terrein van de oude DRU fabriek is nu een cultureel en creatief ontmoeting centrum waar naast het museum onder andere ook een bibliotheek, theater en muziekschool zijn gehuisvest.
Daarnaast worden op het terrein elk jaar verschillende evenementen georganiseerd.
'Op 15 juli 1954 om 12.15 uur is het beeld onthuld. A Beijer bood als voorzitter van de personeelsraad het geschenk van het personeel (De IJzergieter) aan de vennootschap DRU aan.'
'Het beeld de IJzergieter is het symbool geworden van de ijzerindustrie in de gemeente Oude IJsselstreek en heeft daarom ook een prominente plek gekregen op het DRU Industriepark.
Het beeld is live te bewonderen op het plein tussen de DRU Cultuurfabriek en het loonbureau waar Optimaal FM is gevestigd.'

When you enter the industrial park site, a large statue of an iron foundry stands prominently on the square in front of the factory.
The statue was made in 1954 by the sculptor Chris Elffers.
The site of the old DRU factory is now a cultural and creative meeting center which, in addition to the museum, also houses a library, theater and music school.
