From the church website
"We were established in 1980 as an “independent mission” with a resident Priest, Fr. Paul Witthauer, to become a community of faith and center of evangelization. Fr. Paul gathered the community of families and celebrated the first Mass on Sunday July 27,1980 in the historic Georgetown Chapel on Main Street. Israel Creek United Methodist Church graciously rented us the historic place of worship for seventeen years. During those seventeen years our community grew and became more organized to better serve the needs of the community.
We adopted the biblically-based “logo” designed by a young artist in the parish illustrating our unity in the Lord and our peace in God's hands.
On Holy Saturday, April 1997, we found our living stones had been cemented together in the love of Christ to the Glory of God the Father as we celebrated the Easter Vigil in our “new” Church on Biggs Ford Road and welcomed many new members into our community.
As Fr. Witthauer was succeeded by Fr. Dick Murphy and Fr. Andy Aaron, our community needed more space for our many activities. On September 7, 2008 then Archbishop Edwin O’Brien dedicated our Parish Center.
Browse our website to see a “snapshot” of our parish as we continue to grow. The Lord is still building and remodeling our “living stones” as we grow."
